Portfolio Book Art Part 4

This strange creature I made as an alien fly. It was a random project that inspired an idea of a special event at a zoo where they have alien animals. I did the original a few years ago as a photoshop piece. As it came closer to portfolio and with my teacher's asking, I made a watercolor version. It's playful creature that I can imagine to be in a children's book.

Portfolio Book Art Part 3

The inspiration for this piece was a mixture of portfolio needs and a fictional world need. I'm working on a story that has a continent whose always in winter. So, I needed to make a vegetation that would work. Then I realize there needed to be a way to spread the seeds and pollination of plants, in result I created a butterfly made to handle the winter temperatures (And couldn't survive in warm environments). The other need for this piece was to be the back cover of the Portfolio book, so I made it match the cover in style.

Pioneer Day

This is a holiday I never really thought much of until I lived out of state and realize it is not really heard of  outside the state. I knew it was a state holiday, but also know we, Americans, take every holiday we can get. Now that I'm back in state, I realize how little it is celebrated; only those who do usually have children, or like the fireworks and other events actually celebrate. It was very sad. I remembered all the events I went to as a child and enjoyed, not realizing how limited the celebration was. There is also a bit of bitter irony, as I a non-Mormon, celebrate their holiday while many who claim the faith do not. I would think it would be important for them. So, here is a picture in celebration and the hope I have for it. For those who do not know the holiday or it's history, click here.

Portfolio Book Art Part 2

This is one of the favorites from portfolio. This little gal has been extremely popular and one of the first
disappear from my table. I nicknamed her Mrs. Freckles, due to my favorite roommate's comments of
her having an attitude and looking sassy. Which I didn't noticed when drawing the giraffe until she
     mentioned it.

On Zazzle, I created some products. Feel free to look through link. If you find a product you like
to have this design, feel free to comment or email me about it. Also if you think the name for her fits, or
have a suggestion on a name.

Portfolio Book Art Part 1

Decided to post some work that currently isn't on my site, so the next series of post titles will be this.

This creature was created based on the skeleton of a flamingo. It is with example of its young and eggs.

Ysolda
A rough sketch of a character created to be a human like with chimera charactersitics. She has horns of a goat, ears of lion, and a tail of a snake.

Characters in Progress for a new blog in the future.

The first one is for a character named Autumn Webb, which is the character I play in a traditional dice rpg. The rpg is Geist: Sineater, which is part of the World of Darkness series. These are roughs and still have more work to go through. I will be developing a blog for them and the story of our game.
